Feng Shang Princess

Feng Shang Princess is a Chinese restaurant with a difference. It’s on a boat! Yes that’s right a floating boat on the Cumberland Basin in Primrose Hill, just by London Zoo. The setting is certainly different but once your inside it’s easy to forget you’re in a boat. The views must be great in the day time (I went in the evening) but the way the restaurant is lit up with lanterns and candles, it is beautiful at night too. The decor is a bit dated — but you’re on a boat for goodness sake so who cares? The menu is immense and very confusing as there are Chinese, Thai and Malay dishes to choose from. We had a variety of starters and mains.

Best Dish: Stir fried Chicken in Sweet Basil Chilli Sauce

Recommended: Thai Green Curry

Disappointing: Mint Parfait

Avoid: Sauteed Beef in Curry Sauce

Service: Friendly staff with fairly quick service

Overall we had a fab night out but that maybe more about the company and surroundings than the food, but saying that I would definitely go again!
