Indulge — Pinner
I love a good dessert place and there seem to be so many popping up all over the place recently. However the owner of Indulge had their finger on the pulse over ten years ago when they opened Indulge. Pinner is my hometown and Indulge wasn’t there when I was growing up — just as well or I would have been one fat kid. Since then though I’ve never been able to visit as my parents who still live in Pinner make sure they feed me to such an extent that going to a dessert parlour is out of the question.
Anyhow I finally got to go with my bestie and five kids in tow. There’s so much to choose from crepes to waffles to milkshakes but we narrowed it down to a few crepes, ice cream and caramel apple pie along with a tea and coffee. There is also an assortment of savoury crepes where the chicken is halal. (Halal certificate available upon request)
I absolutely loved the rustic crockery in which the hot drinks were served, but more importantly the cappuccino was so good and just what I needed after an afternoon at the park. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee with some delicious apple pie — a perfect combination. I also love this about Indulge.
The crepes were made exactly as we wanted with the right fillings and types of chocolate (choice of white, milk or dark). The waitress also offered us tap water for the table before we even ordered or asked for it, which was very thoughtful of her. I thought the bubble gum ice cream was foul but my friend’s children who ordered it thought it was wonderful.
All the staff were friendly and service was quick. The layout is great and the chefs are working right there so you can see what’s cooking. I cannot wait to go back — that’s if my mum lets me.
