Tiger Lily is a beautiful restaurant tucked away on a quiet side road off the A4 in Osterley. I’ve been here many times but never got round to writing a review! It’s a great place for a romantic night out or a catch up with friends. Every time I’ve been here, there has been the most magnificent display of lilies (no surprise in the choice of flower) in the reception area which I love, it really adds to the ambiance.
It’s so satisfying when you can have authentic Thai food without having to go to central London. One thing I do enjoy are the various dips that are served with different dishes, especially the dips that come with the complimentary prawn crackers.
Best Dish:Weeping Tiger — grilled sirloin steak in a special Thai sauce.
Recommended: Order the Set Menu 1/2 so you get to sample a variety of dishes, especially a range starters. With so many tempting dishes it can be hard to decide. The staff are usually happy to change a dish on the set menu too if you don’t fancy it.
Disappointing: Serving sizes are small if you don’t order the set menu, therefore starter and main with side needs to be ordered.
Surprisingly nice: Tom Yum Koong soup — looks unappetising but has a sharp kick of chilli and lime. Yum in name yum in nature!
Service: Not bad. The restaurant was packed as it was a Friday night so service a bit slow. Better on a weeknight where staff are more attentive.
